Overlapping, interacting and largely freelance portfolio working has led me to becoming a later life early career academic (amongst other things) at the University of Warwick Medical School (Applied Health) working as an Honorary Research Fellow.  My parallel workstreams have included science, information technology, writing, researching, bid and project management.  This has resulted in over ten professionally published books (with translations into ten languages), various scientific, peer reviewed, journal papers, magazine articles, Chartered Engineer status together with a decent grasp of business and the public sector. Research is now my primary focus.
