ABOUT
I am a Senior Research Systems Specialist within the University of Warwick’s Information and Digital Group, working across the University’s Research Portfolio. My role sits at the intersection of technology, research administration and service delivery, with a particular focus on the development, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise systems supporting Warwick’s research community.
I provide technical leadership across a portfolio of research platforms including Symplectic Elements, Worktribe and Figshare, working with colleagues across Research & Impact Services, the Library, academic departments, Information and Digital Group and external suppliers. My work spans platform and service management, solution design, integrations, data and reporting, technical change, supplier engagement, testing and release management, as well as the transition of major programmes from project delivery into sustainable operational services.
A significant part of my role involves translating complex business and research requirements into practical technical solutions. I work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Solution and Enterprise Architects, developers, service teams and subject-matter experts to understand dependencies, assess technical options and ensure changes align with wider institutional architecture, governance and strategic priorities.
Before moving into Research Systems, I worked within Estates on the Kea digital transformation programme, supporting the modernisation of systems, information and digital ways of working across Estates. This included large-scale information and document management change, migration activity, stakeholder engagement, process improvement and the adoption of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
My wider professional interests include product and portfolio management, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, data and integration architecture, service improvement and the effective use of technology to simplify complex organisational processes.
