I am Dr Mandana Zanganeh an Assistant Professor in Health Economics in the Clinical Trials Unit at Warwick Medical School (WMS).

I joined the University of Warwick in 2020, initially working for Warwick Evidence. My main role there was working with a multidisciplinary team preparing technology appraisal reviews commissioned by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

In my current role at WMS, I work on a number of economic evaluations alongside clinical trials; and other projects. I am also co-applicant on various successful grant applications (SUMU-Endo, RELEASE and ReSTORe).

I have Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I am module lead for Student Selected Component (SSC1): Quantitative Health Research Methods (QHRM) for Graduate Entry Medicine: MB ChB Programme at WMS. I also lecture on undergraduate and postgraduate modules and supervise undergraduate students at WMS. I am a member of the Health Economics Study Group (HESG).

Prior to joining Warwick, and after coming to the UK, I obtained a Masters degree in Public Health, with distinction, from Anglia Ruskin University and worked there as a Research Assistant. I then completed a fully funded PhD in Health Economics at the University of Birmingham. My PhD research in Health Economics was primarily aimed at exploring and developing methods for the economic evaluation of school-based interventions to prevent obesity in children in low- and middle- income countries.

In Iran, I completed a Medical degree, with distinction, at Tehran Azad University of Medical Sciences. There, I variously worked as a Medical Doctor and Research Assistant in two clinics and as a Team Leader in two pharmaceutical companies.
