I am a teaching-focused Reader in Neurobiology at Warwick Medical School, teaching behavioural neuroscience and basic neurology to undergraduate students in Health and Medical Sciences and Medical Students. I have studied and worked in Cardiff, Aberdeen, Québec City and London prior joining the University of Warwick. I’m passionate about all aspects of neuroscience and my research has focused on fear and anxiety, looking at these behaviours from a cellular to systems level to determine what causes these behaviours, and how we can potentially manage these feelings when they seem uncontrollable. Since joining Warwick, I have contributed teaching and learning across the School of Life Sciences and Medical School (WMS - MBChB and UG), as module lead and contributor for numerous modules and Senior Tutor (UG). I have a special interest in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), and I am director of the online MSc. Neuroscience and psychology of mental health offered through the WMS/iheed partnership. My passion is creating interactive, accessible, and engaging teaching across all delivery mediums.
